Reverend Reid Brooks Reverend Reid Brooks was born in Farmville, Virginia on May 8, 1931 to Junius Clinton and Arneathia C. Branch-Brooks. He and his family moved to Atlantic City, NJ, where his father found employment. Rev. Brooks attended the Atlantic City Public Schools. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. He joined the U.S. Navy in late 1949 and received and honorable discharge in 1954.
Reverend Brooks was baptized in 1957 by Rev. Russell Roberts. He relocated to Trenton, NJ and joined the First Baptist Church of Eggerts Crossing under the leadership of Rev. Clinton J. Carter, Pastor where he was ordained as a deacon. In January 1994 he joined the Galilee Baptist Church and was ordained as a deacon by Rev. Dr. John H. Harris Jr., Pastor.
Rev. Brooks accepted his call to ministry in 1995 and was licensed in February 1996. He was later ordained a minister in May 2002. He currently attends the Middlesex Central Baptist Association Leadership Institute.
Reverend Brooks is currently a part of the outreach prison ministry at The Albert M. Bo Robinson Treatment Center. His favorite Scripture is Philippians 3: 13-14. |
