Reverend Joe E. Hughley

Reverend Joe E. Hughley was born in Warren, Ohio on June 14, 1945 and one of five children born to Mr. & Mrs. Johnnie Lee Hughley. In 1963 he graduated from Warren G. Harding High School. Upon graduating he joined the U.S. Army where he excelled, graduating from Jump School. He served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded three Bronze Stars with V/device, six army Accommodation Medals and the Purple Heart.

In 1974  Rev. Hughley was named Drill Sergeant of the year and later promoted to First Sergeant. He retired from the military on August 1, 1985 and settled in Tention. Reverend Hughley is Secretary of Church School and assistant to the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

He has three daughters and three grandchildren. Reverend Hughley announced his calling to the ministry on May 9, 1999. He is married to Elizabeth Hughley and is also Director of the Evangelism Ministry.
